Silica gel is a moisture absorbing material that is used in transformers and its existence is essential. This product is useful in the sense that with its high absorption power, it helps to keep the moisture level of transformer oil low. This material can absorb up to 15% of the total weight, and when the absorbed moisture reaches 30-40% of the total weight, it is considered saturated. However, when its humidity increases and more than two-thirds of its volume gets moisture, its efficiency decreases and it is time to replace it.

This product is available in blue and orange. The blue color, which is actually silica gel impregnated with cobalt chloride, changes color from blue to pink when it absorbs moisture. The orange product, which is an organic and environmentally friendly color, changes from orange to colorless when moisture is absorbed.
